No exit for Mama

Keira likes me to put her to sleep with cuddles and songs. Then she likes me to stay the whole night. If things are going really well, she likes sleeping in our bed, snuggled up between us.

Lately, we have been discussing ideas of how Keira might sleep on her own, in her own bed. At the same time, I have been out a few evenings and so she has gone to sleep with heather. She likes this but has also remarked upon my absence. Tonight I came into her room to fight a big sign "No exit for mama" with my picture with a line through it. Then she said she would make a "No entry for Mama" sign for the office and our bedroom.

Back to life back to reality

We have been settling in over the last few days> First order of business was picking up Snickers from our friends place...he start talking when he saw me but I know he also missed their lovely, loving home. We had a good walk at the frog pond in the snow and sunshine that day too. On Friday we headed off to take advantage of February break programming at the library with mr.j the magician.heather has bravely taken the kids to Dalplex swimming a few times. We also had kids and culture this weekend; a trip to the market;Shubie wildlife park and Sunday night supper. Jason had a great start back at school. Keira went to preschool today. She said "I am so excited I can hardly wait. I wonder what we will do today." She immediately sought out her favourite friends and showed off her pictures.
