I guess that is what happens after a bank robbery

So the day after Keira declared her intention to rob a bank, we passed a friend of ours and his guide dog. Keira has spent a lot of time with our friend so I feel pretty comfortable answering her questions about blindness and disability, knowing that she has seen our friend at work and play. This time were talking about the role of our 5 senses and how we can rely on others if one is not available, such as touch. Then she said, "Like if I were blind and in a prison cell, I could feel around and feel the cold hard walls and know I was in prison. But i would have a knife and I would slip the knife to my dog and he would open the door." Really, where does she get these things??!!

Today Keira and I had an epic day. We went to pOint pLeasant park to enjoy the little bit of snow that had fallen. In our explorations, we went over country and discovered a secret (magic?) tree, decorated with painted sea urchin chells, and a seaweed star. Then onto the Shake Rattle and Read library program and lunch at Heather's work. then we went to the Dal Music department's noontime recital which was voice. Keira loved the opera (I was a little worried) and then we explored the Dal Art Gallery. After we picked up Jason we went to see Sue the big T Rex at the Museum of Natural History. To top the day off, keira cleared the table and cleaned her whole room up by herself.

Back!

To make a long story short (in which the heroine is frustrated at too many passwords and no real person to call, just online help), I have regained access to our account and I will see how much I can start using it.

As Keira and I were listening ot Mary Poppins n the way to preschool today, we discussed osme of the age-old questions associated with the film. How is Micheal and if he is 5, can he really read? Why does he interupt during "Two Adorable Children"? And today, a new one, why doesn't he want to give his tuppence to the bank? I explain that he wants to feed the birds."Why?" "Because feeding teh birds is fun. In a voice verging on indignation, she says, ' I don't think so. I don't think feeding the birds is fun. Someday soon, I am going to the bank and stealing all the money. Nobody will notice, not even Mom."
